PROVIDERS

Dr. Matthew Casavant

Dr. Matthew S. Casavant is the founding physician of this practice in 2002. He is originally from Rhode Island but was raised in Oviedo, Florida. He graduated from UCF with a Bachelor of Science degree in Micro and Molecular Biology. He received his medical degree from Nova Southeastern University in South Florida. He completed his residency as an Ob/Gyn at St. Vincent’s /Mercy Hospital in Toledo, OH, where he received extensive training in advanced minimally invasive surgery.

Dr. Casavant believes the patient/physician relationship is a partnership and strives to create an environment that relays the importance of active listening and open communication.

Dr. Casavant works diligently to educate himself and his patients on the best diagnostic, medical, and surgical options available. Because he feels so strongly about this, he works very hard at staying abreast of the latest medical advances in women’s healthcare. In doing so he became the first certified robotic surgeon at South Lake Hospital and to date has performed more of these procedures than any physician in Lake county. He has been a pioneer in minimally invasive surgery for over 10 years now. He is frequently referred to for patients who are in need of advanced procedures requiring unconventional surgery and incredible need for detail. Meticulous would be an understatement for his surgical skills in the operating room. He is sure to use extreme care and judgment from the point of incision to closure understanding all women are looking for that esthetic touch. Many of the procedures that he offers are done right in our surgical suite in the main office.

Utilizing his extensive training in medicine, Dr. Casavant stresses the importance of preventative care, providing many treatment options that help the body in its natural healing abilities. He believes that a holistic approach to medicine and Christian ideals that we are “fearfully and wonderfully made”, make a difference in the health of his patients. Dr. Casavant is a founding member of the South Lake Hospital Ob/Gyn Faculty, and is on staff at South Lake Hospital and Florida Hospital.

Dr. Casavant is married to his beloved wife Nicole Casavant PA-C and has been married to her since 1995. He and his wife make a phenomenal team both in business and life. He has had the incredible privilege of delivering all three of his children.

Dr. Joseph Kerpasck

Dr. Joseph Kerpasck is a board certified Ob/Gyn physician with over nearly two decades of private practice experience caring for women. He recently relocated to Clermont from Ohio from a busy Ob/Gyn practice.

Dr. Kerpsack's philosophy is to listen to the patient and give her the time she deserves whether it is for a yearly visit or a problem focused appointment. Taking a through history and taking into consideration the entire body is imperative in making the correct diagnosis and then recommending options for individualized treatment. The patient should always be involved in the decision process to fit her personal needs.

He graduated from Canfield High School in 1986 in Canfield Ohio. He received a Bachelors of Science in chemistry from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida in 1990. Dr. Kerpsack then moved back to Ohio to attend Wright State University School of Medicine where he earned his Doctor of Medicine degree in 1994. Soon it was back to the South for specialty training in Obstetrics and Gynecology in New Orleans, LA at Ochsner Clinic. Upon completion of residency in 1998, Dr. Kerpsack returned to his home town in Ohio to practice where he had 12 wonderful years delivering babies and meeting the healthcare needs of women.

Dr. Kerpsack and his beloved wife Christie of almost 20 years relocated to Clermont in November 2009. They have four wonderful children the youngest being Sophia was adopted from South Korea. Other children are Tyler, Christopher, and Sarah who are all involved in numerous activities.

Nicole Casavant, PA-C

Nicole Casavant, PA-C has been providing medical care since 1997 and has been very actively involved in the community. She grew up in Southwest Orlando and did her undergraduate studies at Samford University in Birmingham, AL. She received her medical training as a Physician Assistant at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Since graduating from PA school in 1997 she has received specialized training in Family Practice, Women's Health and Dermatology. Prior to joining this practice she spent nearly five years specializing in advanced dermatologic treatments and cosmetic surgery. She is extensively trained in Gynecology, Obstetrics, Dermatology and Aesthetic surgical procedures. She is very actively involved with The Spa at South Lake providing top of the line aesthetic services to both men and women.

Nicole has two main passions in life and that is her husband & three children. She met her beloved husband, Dr. Matthew Casavant in 1992 at First Baptist Church, Orlando. The have been married since 1995 and have enjoyed sharing in the establishment and growth of this practice together since 2002.

Jackie Miller, PA-C

Jackie Miller, PA-C has been working in the field of women's health since 1995. She is a native of Jacksonville, Florida and graduated from Jacksonville University in 1987. After working at the Mayo Clinic Jacksonville doing Alzheimer's research for several years she decided to go back to school to become a Physician Assistant and get her Master's degree. In 1994, she graduated from Emory University's Physician Assistant program in Atlanta, GA. She does well-woman exams/pap smears, OB check-ups, as well as a wide range of office procedures and assist the doctor in surgery.

Jackie met her husband Dan Miller, at Jacksonville University and they have been married for over two decades. Dan is a Senior Planner for the City of Leesburg. They live in Clermont and have two beautiful daughters, Rachel and Erin.
