Cool Insuring Agency, Inc. was founded in 1857 by Charles W. Cool, the first Mayor of the City of Glens Falls. It has served its clients with dignity and pride for over 150 years.

While being one of the oldest insurance brokerage firms in the United States, Cool Insuring Agency has grown to become one of the largest and most innovative insurance brokers in the industry. Cool Insuring Agency maintains full service offices in the Capital of New York, Albany; with a secondary location in Glens Falls, New York (Warren County). Cool Insuring Agency offers a broad array of insurance products to Commercial, Personal, Institutional and Governmental clients throughout the Country.

Cool Insuring Agency currently employs approximately 110 individuals in various departments throughout the organization. In addition to traditional Property and Casualty insurance placement, the agency specializes in providing distinct and specialized Risk Management services to its various clients. In fact, the Risk management division of Cool Insuring Agency clearly distinguishes our organization from most of its peers.

Cool Insuring Agency also provides international insurance placements for numerous clients with locations throughout the world.

The agency maintains a Canadian Brokerage division designed to assist Canadian Insurance Brokers and Companies with the ability to efficiently place insurance coverage for their operation in the United States. Cool Insuring Agency is one of the few agencies able to place coverage for both private and public Canadian Companies throughout the United States.

Cool Risk Management Services, a division of Cool Insuring Agency provides a Broad Array of Risk Management programs, including loss control consultation, safety services, appraisals and various other Risk Management programs to its Commercial and Governmental clients. Within the Risk Management Division, the agency maintains a fully staffed claim division assisting our clients on a vast array of claims management issues. We are able to design and administer claims management programs for our clients, including third Party Administration of Self Insured exposures.

As a major independent insurance agency, we maintain our status as a privately owned company able to offer a multitude of service to our clients. We represent virtually every major insurance carrier doing business in the United States.
