My name is Jill Kleiner; I am a wife and mother to 2 wonderful girls. I have taken my love of sweet treats and country lifestyle and created homemade caramel popcorn with a twist.

Overtime, I have created many different and unique flavors each with their own taste. Caramel popcorn traditionally has a basic caramel sauce, what I do is add upon that with different blends of flavors. I utilize different spices, nuts, dried fruit, bacon and coffee. My topping is then tossed with caramel over fresh organic (non GMO) whole grain popcorn and BAKED. That's right I bake every batch.

My story begins while taking a trip to a local craft fair, I had noticed everything from fudges, to drink mixes, candies, cheeses and baked goods. etc. However, not one caramel popcorn vendor was there, and this is where I came up with my idea to sell my caramel popcorn.

I had already made caramel popcorn in the past for parties and personal snacks. Why not create and sell caramel popcorn with different and unique flavors.

I had a plan now in place, but what would I name my new business? That was the hard part. I reflected on things in my life, and having a love for my farm life, and animals and focusing on this for my business name made perfect sense. My small farm includes my many animals from miniature horses, dogs, a rabbit, but especially; my chickens.

If you've ever had the pleasure of watching a dozen or more feathered friends running up to you to get their favorite treat; you would know how much they LOVE cracked corn. I felt once people ate my creations they would feel the same way about my caramel corn, and always come running for more. So the name of my business was decided, and it was going to be called Jilly's Cracked Corn. Named after the excitement my chickens had when receiving their treat.

This is just the beginning of my new journey and I am very excited to share it with you.
