Founded in 1995, The Women’s Foundation for a Greater Memphis (WFGM) is a non-profit organization of women helping women break the cycle of poverty in Memphis though philanthropy, leadership and collaboration.

Mission
To encourage philanthropy and foster leadership among women and support programs that enable women and children to reach their full potential.

Vision
To be an agent of change committed to a community of wellbeing and prosperity, where women live in sufficiency, strength, and safety, sharing their leadership and empowering their children.

Philanthropy
Since 1996, $17 million has been awarded to over 450 programs involving more than 100 local non-profits, including investments in advocacy and research. Through
grant-making, community initiatives and public-private partnerships, WFGM has helped to serve 17,000 people each year.

Leadership
WFGM is led by a 35-member Board of Directors and a 11-member Board of Trustees of women who represent a cross section of philanthropists, business leaders, entrepreneurs, marketing, and industry experts.
